Detienen a un capataz de Corrientes por el“” femicidio de una maestra rural

Godoy was last seen on 9 October at Escuela N° 626, located in the El Malezal area of Esquina, Corrientes. The rural school has ten students, children of workers at Estancia El Curupí, and Godoy had recently taken over its direction. Before she disappeared, Zarza was located near an abandoned post located 150 metres from the school. Witnesses stated that he used to spend the night there, drink whisky and become aggressive. The Public Ministry of Corrientes reported that the progress of the inquiry allows it to maintain that Zarza is the author of Godoy's femicide. The alleged obstruction of Godoy's return

Leguizamón is also detained and faces an aggravated concealment charge. Investigators maintain that she deceived Godoy about the possibility of returning to Esquina that weekend, falsely telling her that a horse-riding event in Sauce would prevent her from travelling. Leguizamón was the person who lent Godoy the horse she used to move between the estancia's headquarters and the school.

The case remains open while investigators continue with the judicial inspection, the recognition of the clothing and the search for evidence that could clarify what happened to the teacher. The body has not been found, so the next procedural steps will be determined by the evidence gathered and by the decisions of the competent judicial authorities.
